Unruly Hearts, Classical Virtue - Inner Authority
You and I live in an aggressively mediated world. Many parties benefit from separating a person from their experience. Part of the aim of my work is to help you get to know yourself at great depth. To experience yourself more directly, with more insight. Freeing up vitality, goodness, and power. Power gets a bad name. Usually people mean domination when the talk badly about power. Power as I say it means capability, assertiveness, fortitude. There is room for your power and the power of the other as I see it.
This is relevant relationally, but also internally. Everyone has different factions in conflict in their psyche. Inner tension, inner war. That’s a lot of energy spent without going anywhere. There are many different ways of defining a psyche’s inner aspects. Ego, Id, Superego. Self and Shadow. Conscious, Preconscious, Unconscious. Mind and Body. Internal Family Systems - Inner Father, Inner Mother, Inner Child. Yin and Yang. I’m sure there are more. Another aim of my work is to help you integrate these internal forces, which hold potential to amplify the clout of your presence. If the unruly heart becomes teammates with rather than nemesis of the ordered goodness, the energy can start to develop an integrated vision for where it wants to go and start moving that direction rather than against itself.
There is a world framed by the range of the naked eye, and another by the shape of the screen. Screen is an interesting word, isn’t it? A screen keeps certain things out and certain things in. It sorts.
Layered, nuanced
Inner authority is a misnomer without prerequisite freedom. How does a person arrive, or even find access to their freedom?
creativity is letting the unruly heart speak

To be most vital the heart needs.
